Chris Jones - Principal
Formerly a Principal with NK Architects, Chris managed their townhouse and single-family studio as well as firm operations before leaving in 2017 to found Christopher Jones Architects.
Chris grew up in Little Rock and studied architecture at the University of Arkansas and in Rome, before finding his home in West Seattle. Working as a teen with his father remodeling houses and summer construction jobs during college gave him a greater understanding of real world light-frame wood construction (and blisters). He has put that knowledge to use designing of hundreds of homes, resulting in projects that are practical to build and durable to own. When not designing, Chris and his husband Andrew are raising their daughter Keira and perpetually working on their craftsman bungalow. Active in the community, Chris has served on the board for the Seattle Pride festival and as a foster parent. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Greater Seattle Business Association, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
