Vanessa Aragona - Staff Architect
Vanessa came to us from our neighbors to the north and joined CJA in the fall of 2018 as our token Canadian. Originally from Toronto, she completed her Bachelor’s in Environmental Design at the University of British Columbia. During her studies she explored how architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design work together to create spaces and environments that inspire and positively effect people’s lives. An artistic person by nature, she also has a diploma in Art and Design from George Brown College in Toronto, where her interest and passion for architecture developed.
With an extensive background in performing arts and ballet, Vanessa’s design work is inspired by art, movement, and the built environment. She is particularly drawn to how exposure to natural light affects us and how it moves through spaces. She is a lover of the outdoors, dogs, and photography. When she is not working on architecture, she is often exploring Seattle and the PNW with her little dog Nala.
